The Story

• American molder operating in China is shut down by workers during a labor dispute, leaving the customer, G.E. Measurement and Controls, now Amphenol Advanced Sensors, without product.
• The tooling was transported to the U.S. and Moldamatic was asked to review the tooling and produce parts. The tooling, produced to be run in China was modified to run here and has been producing parts at Moldamatic for two years now. Along the way, form, fit and function improvements have been made to create a better fit between the mating parts.

Substrate parts are molded with the threaded insert, then over molded with a TPE elastomer.
